    We has dedicated considerable effort to enhance our API's efficiency, and we're excited to announce that our screenshot endpoint now operates approximately 40% faster. This significant performance boost means quicker responses and more reliable service for all your screenshot needs.

    We've also upgraded our URL validation process, making it faster and more accurate. Since invalid URLs are a leading cause of operation failures, this improvement means a smoother, more reliable experience for you.

    To further ensure reliability, we've implemented a retry mechanism for the most common issues, such as page load errors and transient network errors. This means that temporary glitches won't interrupt your workflow, enhancing the overall dependability of our service.

    We are excited to announce the new metadata API for capturing page metadata! With this API, you can easily retrieve any web page metadata, such as titles, descriptions, logos and much more. This documentation includes instructions on how to use the API, as well as examples of how it can be integrated into your platform.

    Along with the new API, we have also made some bug fixes, improvements, and UI tweaks to our platform.

    We’ve also focused on optimizing our service's performance. Our latest improvements have successfully reduced response times by 250-500 milliseconds, making our API faster and more efficient for all users.

    We are excited to announce that we are transitioning to a new support system. As of today, we will no longer be using Intercom for any support or enquiries.

    Our new support system is designed to provide faster and more efficient service to our customers. With this new system, you will have access to a dedicated support portal where you can submit and track your support requests, access helpful resources, and receive updates on the status of your request.

    With version v5.2.0 we introduced two new options to screenshot API, selector & selectorId. When either of these are specified the system will wait for that element to appear and capture specifially that selector. You can see a demo of that in our Twitter screenshot tool here.

    Auto-recharge will now let you select any plan of your choice. While enabling Auto-recharge from Capture console you can now see a dropdown to select the plan to recharge every time the credits fall below 500.

    Auto-recharge will now charge every time your credits fall below 500 instead of 250. The pricing will still remain the same at $9.99 for 5000 credits.

    Auto Recharge is a nifty feature used for adding credit to your account automatically. You can nominate a debit/credit card to be charged every time your credits fall below 500. We will charge $9.99 for 5000 credits.

    Link your Capture account with Slack and get high quality screenshots in Slack using the /screenshot slash command.

    To create a screenshot use the /screenshot url command with url being the website you want to screenshot for example /screenshot https://google.com/

    We've updated our payments integrations to add support for Apple Pay and 3D Secure 2, which is a new card authentication standard that introduces an improved user experience and frictionless authentication flows.

    The 3D Secure standard, often known by its branded names like “Visa Secure” or “Mastercard Identity Check” aims to reduce fraud and provide added security to online payments.

    Finally we've added Amazon S3 integration settings to the dashboard. You can now enable S3 upload with just a click!

    What is Amazon S3?

    Amazon s3 is a scalable storage system offered by Amazon Web Services. S3 is purpose-built to store any amount of data, anywhere. Through our current integration with Amazon S3 you can upload Screenshots and PDFs directly to your Amazon S3 buckets.

    How to activate Amazon S3 integration?

    To activate the integration you have to generate a Secret Key and an Access Key ID using AWS IAM that enables Capture to authenticate as a user on your AWS account for the purposes of writing data to your bucket.
